The Australian Infectious Diseases Research Centre was formed in 2011 as a UQ-based Centre incorporating members from the Faculty of Science, Faculty of Health Science, UQCHRC, AIBN, Diamantina Institute, IMB and UQCCR. QIMR Berghofer Medical Research institute infectious diseases researchers joined AID in 2012, forming a UQ-QIMR collaborative research centre.
