Entries are now open for the prestigious Australian Museum Eureka Prizes, Australia’s leading national science awards recognising excellence in research, innovation, leadership and science engagement. The 2026 program features 19 prize categories spanning diverse scientific fields, with a total prize pool of $190,000. Researchers, teams and science communicators across Australia are encouraged to submit nominations highlighting impactful scientific achievements. Entries opened on 9 February 2026 and will close at 7:00 pm AEST on 16 April 2026, with finalists announced in July and winners celebrated at the awards ceremony in Sydney in September. The Eureka Prizes provide a valuable opportunity to showcase groundbreaking research and innovation to the broader scientific community.
